On Thursday, January 3, CHFD was requested Mutual Aid to Lansing at 5:36 PM for an attic fire on Horvath Dr. A fully-staffed Engine 203 deployed within minutes, followed shortly by Ladder 231 with a full crew, Support 243, and Support 242. Units from CHFD arrived on scene to find heavy smoke rising from the roof of a house with flames coming out of the eaves. Cayuga Heights firefighters assisted Lansing Fire Department with fire suppression and overhaul.
