Description

203 is a 2016 KME Rescue Engine. It is equipped with a 1500 GPM Waterous pump and a 750 gallon booster tank. 203 responds with at least a driver, an officer, and two additional interior-certified firefighters. It can, and most often does, seat a total of five firefighters in addition to the driver.

 

Role

Engine 203 is our first due apparatus for all fires, alarms, and motor vehicle collisions. In addition, it serves as our primary vehicle for all FAST (Firefighter Assist and Search Team) activation. As a BLS Rescue Engine, 203 will occasionally respond to EMS calls when 241 is out on another emergency.

  • 2 crosslays of 200 ft, 2 inch diameter hose

  • 1 rear preconnect of 250 ft, 2.5 inch diameter hose

  • 1 rear preconnect of 300 ft, 2 inch diameter hose

  • 2 high-rise hose packs of 100 ft, 2 inch diameter hose

  • 1150 ft of 5 inch supply hose

  • Extrication equipment including: rescue tool, airbags, wood cribbing

  • Powered saws including: a chainsaw, ventsaw, rescue chainsaw, K-12 rotary saw and sawzall

  • 1 FAST pack

  • BLS Medical equipment

  • 1 Stokes basket

  • 2 Backboards
