Description
Rescue 241 is our Advanced Life Support (ALS) certified rescue vehicle. It is a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban and as outfitted it can seat 3 rescue personnel. It is the only volunteer run ALS interceptor in Tompkins county, and is one of our most specialized pieces of equipment.
Role
It is essentially an ambulance without patient transport capacity, carrying state-of-the-art BLS and ALS equipment. It also carries rope and water rescue equipment, along with PFD's for all crew members for water extrication calls.
