Description

Rescue 241 is our Advanced Life Support (ALS) certified rescue vehicle. It is a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban and as outfitted it can seat 3 rescue personnel. It is the only volunteer run ALS unit in Tompkins county.

 

Role

It is essentially an ambulance without patient transport capacity, carrying state-of-the-art BLS and ALS equipment. It also carries rope and water rescue equipment.

2nd Due to MVA Calls

2nd Due to technical rescue

Can provide mutual aid/ALS intercepts

  • First in bag (Red) containing full BLS compliment of airways, 02 equipment and BLS meds

  • Trauma bag (Orange) containing additional bleeding control, dressings, and tourniquets

  • Broselow bag (Blue) containing pediatric equipment and airways

  • ALS bag (Green) containing ALS meds, IV equipment, and adult intubation equipment

  • Zoll X-Series cardiac monitor/defibrillator

  • Electric portable suction

  • Full set of splints/stabilization

  • 2 back boards

  • Mass casualty incident (MCI) command equipment.
