I really enjoyed how this post shares that the Cayuga Heights Fire Department is recruiting volunteer firefighters for the Fall 2025 Probationary Class, inviting local residents and students to join the team with free training and gear provided. It made me think of those semesters when my own schedule was packed, and in that crunch I even had to take my online class cheap as that support at the time so I could carve out some free time for community events like this. It’s a great reminder that stepping up to help others can be as rewarding as managing your own challenges.
