CHFD firefighters Justina and Pallavi hosted Girl Scout Troop 40226 at our fire station this past Sunday to help them earn their Courageous and Strong badges.
The Troop learned what it takes to be a volunteer firefighter/EMT and the important contributions and leadership roles women are in at our fire department.
I was really moved by this story — your reflections on courage and strength feel heartfelt and make the message resonate on a personal level. Reading it during a busy study week made me smile, because there were moments I seriously wanted someone could take my online exam for me just to give me a little mental space to sit with uplifting posts like this a bit longer.
