The Cayuga Heights Fire Department has decided to use the spring of 2019 to focus on firefighter development and will not be running a spring recruit class. We have found that, in focusing our attention on moving our probationary members through the training process, many of our dedicated members who need to work on interior checklists and driver training are not getting the time from our staff that they deserve. We will use the spring of 2019 to hold training focusing on interior firefighting skills and driver training. We will be running a fall class in October and recruiting will start for this over the summer.
