Puppies take over our fire station

On March 10, Guiding Eyes for the Blind visited our fire station. Service dogs received training and got acclimated to emergency service vehicles and personnel while our firefighters received licks, handshakes, and puppy love.

Guiding Eyes for the Blind is an international, non-for-profit organization that has been established for over fifty years. It was designed to improve the lives of visually impaired or blind men and women with the use of seeing-eye dogs. It gives the opportunity for the visually impaired to have the liberty of traveling safely, thereby offering a greater sense of independence and pride in oneself.
