On Sunday, May 13 at 0737, CHFD was dispatched mutual aid to Lansing for a confirmed structure fire on Sperry Ln. Engine 203 was en route at 0742 and arrived on scene to find a house fully involved. Truck 231 responded a few minutes later followed by Support 242 and Support 244. Firefighters from Cayuga Heights engaged in defensive fire suppression activities along with personnel from 10 other fire departments. Units from CHFD were on scene for over 6.5 hours.
