Structure Fire / Freese Road

At 22:45 on 1/15 CHFD Engine 203 was requested to respond to the scene of a working structure fire in the Hamlet of Varna to provide a Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST). 203 and Chief 261 responded. Reports indicate that the fire may have started in the chimney and spread rapidly to the garage. With plenty of work to go around, the crew from 203 quickly got to work assisting firefighters from other departments in knocking down the fire.

Other agencies on scene included Varna Fire Department, Dryden Fire Department, Dryden Ambulance, McLean Fire Department, Etna Fire Department, Freeville Fire Department and the Tompkins County Sheriffs.
