Structure Fire / Slaterville Rd
On 05/18/23 at 13:34 CHFD was requested mutual aid by Brooktondale Volunteer Fire Company to respond to a working structure fire. Engine 203 responded, and on arrival, crews located single-family residence that was on fire, with fire showing from the Charlie Delta corner, and heavy smoke throughout the second floor.
3 CHFD Firefighters were assigned to run the fill site for a tanker shuttle. The other 3 CHFD Firefighters were assigned to assist interior attack, then as part of the FAST team, and then re-assigned to roof vent.
All CHFD units were returned in service by 4pm. Due to the time of day, it was a tri-county team effort to tackle this fire, and we are thankful for all departments and their teamwork. Other agencies on scene Include:
